DEDICATED farmers markets are a relatively new concept on the north coast, but of course they are really nothing new, having their roots deep in an age-old tradition. With an increased community interested in buying locally produced food and supporting local farmers, it’s no surprise that farmers markets are now a weekly event in many towns and cities all over Australia.
We have put together a directory of your local north coast farmers markets and we also send out daily reminders through Facebook, making it easy for you to make the connection with your favourite farm fresh producers and markets.
Please note that local farmers can be found at many community markets, not only at dedicated farmers markets. If you’re looking for a comprehensive market directory, check out our North Coast Market Directory, now include markets all along the north coast, from Tweed Heads to Laurieton.
Please refer to this post for further references and websites for farmers markets.
While we have created this market directory with care, we accept no responsibility or liability for inaccurate or out of date information. In all circumstances we strongly suggest you contact the market organiser directly to avoid disappointment. However, we do ask that if you spot an error or omission, please let us know so we can amend!

ABC North Coast has put together a map of farmers and growers markets on the north coast. Here’s the link.
North Coast Markets was established in January 2012, with the aim of facilitating connections between the general community, stall holders and market organisers. We are independent, and we are stall holders ourselves. So far, we’re happy to say, it seems to be working very well.
We use facebook to post updates and reminders for our growing number of friends, and this blog to focus on things in more detail. We hope you like what we do, and we’re happy to hear your comments.
